Plus-Size Women's Clothes
When you are in the market for full figure clothing, some of the most important factors are the quality of the clothing's construction and the right fit. When learning how to dress a full figure, one lesson you will quickly learn is that high-quality fabrics and garment construction work together to create a flattering, supportive outfit.
Quality fabrics like cotton and silk contain no synthetic materials. They fall gracefully on any figure and they allow your body to breathe. Unlike clingy polyester and shiny spandex, cotton and silk have a naturally appealing look to them. Cotton and silk can be found in many forms including linen, twill and shantung.
When a garment is constructed properly, it has strong seams that don't pull and bunch, avoiding creating the impression that you are bigger than you are. Garments that are made well also keep their shape rather than becoming loose and unflattering.
When shopping for plus-size women's clothes, you will notice that many stores have their plus-sized clothing marked with an "X." So, in one store you may have a size 14 pair of pants right next to a 14X. This X might not seem like a big deal, but if you try on a size 14 and then a 14X, you will notice a big difference in terms of fit, comfort and flattery.
Clothes marked with an X are made with fabric cut more generously. They are constructed to be worn by larger frames and are more suitable than their non-X equivalents. While you may romanticize the ability to wear an article of clothing that does not have a letter on the tag, in reality the non-X article of clothing will look tight and uncomfortable on you and may accentuate parts of your body that you do not want accentuated.
Buying the right plus-size women's clothes means finding the size that fits you--regardless of whether it's in numbers, letters or both, and remember, when learning how to dress a full figure, the most important thing is that the clothing you wear should enhance your figure.
